Wonwoo of SEVENTEEN to Enlist in Military Service, Unable to Participate in Group Activities

Secondupdate.com – Wonwoo, a member of the K-pop idol group SEVENTEEN, will begin his mandatory military service on April 3, 2025.

This news was announced by PLEDIS Entertainment, which also stated that Wonwoo would not be able to participate in SEVENTEEN’s upcoming activities.

"Hello, this is PLEDIS Entertainment. SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo will begin his military service on April 3. As a result, he will not be able to take part in any upcoming activities, including the Tecate Pa'l Norte music festival in April 2025 and the fan meeting in Japan," PLEDIS Entertainment stated, as reported by Koreaboo on Wednesday.

However, Wonwoo will still attend the CARATLAND fan meeting on March 20-21 and will appear in various pre-recorded content.

"As previously announced, he will participate in CARATLAND from March 20 to 21, and he will be able to meet CARATs through various pre-recorded content," the statement continued.

PLEDIS also reminded fans that there would be no official event on the day of Wonwoo’s enlistment. Therefore, fans are advised not to visit the enlistment site.

Instead, they are encouraged to show their support through the Weverse platform.

"Please express your love for him through Weverse. We ask CARATs to continue loving and supporting him so that Wonwoo can diligently fulfill his duties and return safely. The company will also continue to work hard to support him. Thank you," the statement concluded.
