Netflix has released a new trailer for their original film, "The Electric State," set to premiere on March 14, 2025. The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt.

The movie takes place in an alternate 1990s world with a retro-futuristic style. Millie Bobby Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teenager living in a world where sentient robots coexist with humans. These robots were once peaceful servants, but after a failed rebellion, they now live in exile.

One night, Michelle encounters Cosmo, a mysterious robot connected to her younger brother Christopher, who was presumed dead. Determined to uncover the truth about her sibling, Michelle embarks on a dangerous journey across the American Southwest.

During her adventure, she reluctantly teams up with Keats (Chris Pratt), a smuggler, and Herman, Keats' witty robot companion (voiced by Anthony Mackie). Together, they travel to the Exclusion Zone, a remote desert area inhabited by outcast robots. There, they meet new animatronic allies and begin to uncover a dark secret behind Christopher's disappearance.

In addition to Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, "The Electric State" features a stellar cast, including Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, and Woody Norman. Meanwhile, the voices of the robots are provided by Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk.

The film is based on the graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag, with a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.
