Los Angeles Fire, Grammy Awards 2025 Will Still Be Held

Secondupdate.com - The wildfires in Los Angeles have significantly impacted various sectors, especially the entertainment industry. Nevertheless, the 2025 Grammy Awards will proceed as planned.

"With close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and the responsible use of regional resources, the 67th GRAMMY Awards, broadcast live on CBS on February 2, will go on as scheduled," said Harvey Mason Jr., as quoted by Rolling Stone on Thursday (January 16, 2025).

However, this year's Grammys will not feature major labels such as Universal Music Group and Warner Music, which have reportedly withdrawn from participating. Meanwhile, Universal Music Group also confirmed its non-involvement in any events.

"Today, we have canceled all Grammy-related events, including the Artist Showcase and After-Grammy Party, and will redirect the resources intended for those events to help those affected by the wildfires. Our deepest gratitude goes to the first responders and emergency personnel who continue to work bravely. L.A. is home to many of us. We are committed to helping and supporting the music community, artists, teams, and the people of Los Angeles through this harrowing time," wrote Universal Music Group on Instagram.
