Secondupdate.com - As usual, James Gunn always has an interesting way of captivating his fans. This was also the case with his latest film, Superman.

In a TV ad, James Gunn made fans wonder what exactly was going on with the Man of Steel's face. The 30-second ad, titled "Icon," was released on January 27.

In the ad, Superman, played by David Corenswet, is seen flying through a frozen tundra in a long shot. Interestingly, Corenswet's eyes appear bigger and farther apart than usual.

"There's something about his face that looks a little odd. I know there's still plenty of time to perfect the CGI," commented one netizen.

In response to the comment, Gunn clarified that there was no CGI on Superman's face at all. According to him, a person's face can look different when using a wide-angle lens up close.

Besides Superman, some netizens reacted strongly by creating memes, editing the faces of Mr. Deeds, played by Steve Buscemi, Crazy Eyes, and Igor, played by Marty Feldman.
