Heating Up! Justin Baldoni Sues Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for Up to IDR 6.5 Trillion

Secondupdate.com – The feud between Justin Baldoni and celebrity couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds appears to be getting more complicated. Justin Baldoni is now suing for damages amounting to $400 million, approximately IDR 6.5 trillion.

According to Variety, Baldoni and his publicist accuse Lively and Reynolds of civil extortion and defamation. In his lawsuit, Justin demands $400 million in damages.

The lawsuit consists of a 179-page complaint. Meanwhile, Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freeman, issued an official statement alongside the lawsuit.

"This lawsuit is a legal action based on an overwhelming amount of unmanipulated evidence detailing Blake Lively and her team's fraudulent attempts to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team, and their respective companies by spreading crudely edited, unfounded, newly fabricated, and engineered information to the media," the statement read.

"It is clear, based on our willingness to provide all text messages, emails, video recordings, and other documentary evidence shared directly between the parties, that this is a battle she cannot win and will undoubtedly regret."

"Blake Lively has been severely misled by her team or has deliberately and knowingly distorted the truth. Ms. Lively will no longer be allowed to exploit real victims of abuse solely for her personal reputation gain at the expense of the powerless," it continued.

"Let’s not forget, Ms. Lively and her team sought to ruin reputations and livelihoods for highly selfish reasons through dangerous media manipulation even before taking actual legal action. We know the truth, and now the public knows it too. Justin and his team have nothing to hide—documents don’t lie."

On the other hand, Lively filed her own lawsuit against Baldoni and others 10 days after filing a complaint with the California Department of Civil Rights. She accused her co-star of attempting to tarnish her reputation.
