Final Rehearsals for World Tour: Shakira to Spend a Few Days in Mexico

Secondupdate.com - Singer Shakira is gearing up for the final rehearsals of her world tour. For this reason, she is staying in Mexico for a few days. The world tour, titled "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," will kick off on February 11, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

According to information published by Billboard, Shakira arrived in Mexico City on Tuesday (January 21). She landed at Felipe Ángeles International Airport on the outskirts of Mexico's capital, traveling on a private jet.

Accompanied by her personal security team and members of the National Guard, Shakira greeted her fans briefly. She also held a short press conference. Shakira mentioned that she came to Mexico City to perform seven concerts in the city.

However, the singer of "Monotonía" and "Soltera" revealed on the show "Domingão com Huck" in Brazil that she chose Mexico as the location for rehearsals and final preparations for the tour.

In addition, Shakira spoke about her return to the international stage after nearly seven years since her "El Dorado" world tour. She also expressed her happiness about being in Mexico.

"This is an incredible healing process for me, for many women, and for many people who have supported me since the beginning," said the singer and songwriter.

"I’m very happy to be in Mexico, a country that has supported me, understood me, loved me, and I love you all with all my heart," she said.
