Secondupdate.com - In December 2024, Song Mino, a member of the group WINNER, was accused of neglecting and abandoning his mandatory military service. He was alleged to frequently take sick leaves and falsify his attendance at his military service location.
As a result, the police launched an investigation to uncover the allegations. On Thursday (23/1), Mino was summoned by the police for questioning. According to Korea JoongAng Daily, Mino was interrogated for four hours.
During the questioning, Mino provided evidence to refute the accusations against him. However, the police had also collected CCTV footage from the location where Mino was performing his duties.
Additionally, the supervisor of the Mapo Resident Welfare Facility will also be summoned to provide testimony and clarification, as the issue continues to gain attention.
Previously, a representative from the Mapo Resident Welfare Facility issued a denial, which was conveyed directly to the media. According to the statement, Mino did not neglect his public service duties.
"The sick leave was a continuation of the treatment he was receiving before his military service. Other leaves, including annual leave, were taken in accordance with regulations," the management stated in an official statement to the media.
